Winter's Nap

Winter Solstice has arrived. . .
a time for slumber and sleep. . .
                                                       a Winter's Nap.

Especially after the hustle and busyness that the holiday season brings,
it's a comfort for one to take a long Winter's nap.

I can think of no finer space On Crooked Creek
for such a delightful Winter's nap, than within the Guest Room.

My vintage Jenny Lind full size bed

graciously accommodates one for a luxurious Winter's nap.

The soft tranquil hue of Sherwin ~ Williams Agreeable Gray,

combined with a monochromatic color palette,
sets the stage for relaxation within the petite perimeter
of On Crooked Creek's Guest Room.

I adore this petite French Provincial end table for its feminine detailing.

While the above table top vignette displays quite nicely for Spring's awakening,
I enjoy adding a few additional accessories for Winter's napping.

The same is true for the heirloom side table on the opposite side.

Again, with just a touch of  Winter's accessories,
a more serene mood evolves.

As with any napping room, comfort is of the essence.

Ample and comfortable decorative pillows
combined with caressing warm blankets enhance the napping experience.

Treasures to "capture the eye" offer visions of days gone by.

Subtle monochromatic hues,
as not to distract from one's slumbers,
offer tranquility to ones respite.

Crystal prisms perched above, reflect rays of illumination,

lighting the path upon arising from ones Winter Nap.

A Winter Nap. . .
a time for slumber and sleep. . .
for Winter Solstice has arrived. . .

                                                                                       On Crooked Creek.

Until next time. . .
