Oh, my goodness!
Who would have thought a trip to our local Home Show
would have prompted a Demo Day On Crooked Creektt!
I guess I should have known better, eh?
At our local Home Show,
"Mr. Ed" and I spoke with a local contractor
about the need to replace our Front Porch Deck On Crooked Creektt.
We set up an appointment for an appraisal
and were thrilled when the weather turned to 60 plus degrees.
After a short conversation,
our contractor realized why this is such a challenging project.
Our two car garage, literally, sits at the edge of the Front Porch.
So~o~o,
while both our contractor, and "Mr. Ed" and I
are trying to discuss new plans for On Crooked Creektt's Front Porch,
the contractor says, "It would be most helpful if I could see exactly
what's underneath your existing porch."
No sooner had the contractor left
than "Mr. Ed" went to work. . .it's Demo Day On Crooked Creektt!
"Mr. Ed" worked most of the afternoon removing our Front Porch Deck.
As the sun moved around,
"Mr. Ed" continued to work until all the decking boards and posts were eliminated.
One can see by the 'wood rot' that this deck had definitely served its time.
As I earlier explained to the contractor,
there was only a stoop for a front entry to our 1970's Ranch Style Home.
These next few photos speak volumes!
I quickly downloaded these photos and sent them off to our contractor.
Once our contractor finishes his design for On Crooked Creektt's
Front Porch, we'll begin pouring new concrete and attaching new railing.
Now that Demo Day
has been completed On Crooked Creektt,
stay turned for Work In Progress updates!
Until next time. . .

Dear Ones,
This "Growing Old Business" is not at all what I had in mind!
I've been dealing with pain in my left shoulder for far too long.
Another trip back to my Physician shows that I may have a
tear in my Rotator Cuff. I am currently taking Physical Therapy.
Raising my arm above my head is "out~of~the~question",
so~o~o my interior decorating and blogging have taken a back seat.
Please be patient with me during this process.
I am praying that the Physical Therapy and combined daily exercises
will help my shoulder to heal and that surgery will not be needed.
Fondly,
Pat
