Beginning Anew. . .

Over the past two years,
I've edited, edited, and edited, once again,
many of my decor accessories On Crooked Creektt.

Being a firm believer that ones taste evolves with time,
I've come full circle and have embraced  my Traditional Roots.

I'm beginning anew to enjoy the lifestyle of my childhood and youth.

I'm using a trained, skilled, design eye
to focus on the things that bring me comfort in my Senior Years

So~o~o. . .
when I spotted this Haviland France white porcelain china tureen
in a neighboring city, I couldn't help falling in l o v e.

La petite and oh, so ruffly!
The intricate design is femininity at its finest expression!

Even "Mr. Ed" agreed
that she appears to have"my signature bow" on the lid!

I have given her place of honor atop the built~in china cabinet
in the Dining Room near my assigned seat at our dining table.

To the left of my Frenchy Tureen,
I've placed my heirloom Coffee Server.

The Johnson China creamer and lidded sugar
were acquired on a recent Outdoor Flea Market trip to Ottawa, Kansas.

They are joined with a heirloom hand painted
Royal Sealy China pansy cup and saucer Made in Japan.

Seated to the right of my Frenchy Tureen,
is my favorite heirloom tea cup and saucer of Handpainted Lefton China.

The two~tier wrought iron plate rack displays
vintage green swirl depression glassware saucers and bowls
atop scalloped white porcelain dinner plates.

Whichever angle I choose,
I take great pleasure and delight viewing her detailed lines.

On Crooked Creektt, beginning anew. . .
                                                                             it's a "good thing"!

Until next time. . .

I find the older I get the more I like white plates and tableware. Yours is lovely and I'd want to display it where I can look at it during the day too.

Pat, this is an exquisite piece. I love soup tureens and would have wrestled you for this one had we been shopping together. Thanks for sharing.

Oh Pat, I love everything about this vignette! The Haviland tureen is beautiful - the ribbon detail! I need (yea, right!) one of those iron plate racks - I always end up borrowing my sister's for buffet dinners with family. Your heirloom coffee server - just wonderful. As a coffee drinker, I really love the look of this - it's usually tea service that is so beautiful, but you've certainly elevated coffee to that place in what you've done here.
