What a flurry of activity recently On Crooked Creektt!
"Mr. Ed" and I held our first TAG $ALE!
Having resided on the East Coast in Aberdeen, Maryland
during the first year of "Mr. Ed's" Military Career,
we frequented many a TAG $ALE!
However,
those who reside here on the Prairie
were a bit unsure of what type of $ALE we were having!
A TAG $ALE is usually a one~to~three day sellout
of the partial or entire contents of a home or business.
While there is obviously some overlap in the kinds of things
you can find at this type of $ale, the emphasis at TAG $ALES
is on clearing out as much of seasonal inventory as possible.
The main difference is that you will find more gently used things
at less of a price reduction at a TAG $ALE than other types of $ales.
This was a "perfect" solution
to the remaining seasonal inventory from our Bit's 'n Pieces Spring Booth!
With the "exception" of a few items,
most of the inventory in our TAG $ALE
never made it out of the trunk of my car or the U~Haul trailer.
Our TAG $ALE was held for one evening only
the night before the 23rd Annual City Wide Garage $ale.
"Mr. Ed" and I utilized both sides of our two~car garage
and displayed items in a U~shape with a host of lawn items
just outside the doors!
Over~and~over, people kept asking. . .
"Where is your shop located?"
" Your displays are just beautiful, where is your booth?"
"When is your next booth event?"
which blessed us in amazing ways.
And while it may take a bit of time to "catch on" here on the Prairie. . .
we were extremely blessed with our first TAG $ALE $uccess!!!
Until next time. . .

What lovely vignettes of wonderful things for sale.
I love the tags you created to rEad T A G S A L E!
Hi Pat! Oh, your tag sale looked gorgeous! You do have the knack of setting up pretty vignettes and that had to help sell your pretties. Now if I were able to have been there, I would have torn up your sale by buying up so many lovely things I see! Thank you, Pat, for your sweet words about our new adventure! I'm not going anywhere - I'll continue to blog! I love Blogland and I love you, too!

Shelia ;)
Pat my dear friend, if I only lived closer! What wonderful displays and I saw so many things that I would love to own. Yes, you have the decorating bug in a bad way... even your tag sale looks like an upscale shop!!!! But, that's just your special touch!
Why yes I have never attended a tag or yard sale as attractive as yours! I would of bought that wash board if I was there! Glad it was a success!
Hi Pat! I'll bet you're still reveling in your sales! I hope you did very well. Thanks for popping in to see me and I know what you mean about 'the moves'. This is the first time ever in our married life we've ever moved 'on our own'. Mr. Precious' company has always moved us before. This has been a little big more stressful but I'm making it.

It's funny how you say Tag sale and we know what it means but the 20 year olds don't....ha ha
I would have been too busy snapping things up to ask where your booth was. That comes after I get all my goodies before they would have gotten snatched up...Such a great idea to do right before the big garage sale. Definitely going to remember that!
What a great tag sale! Love how you displayed your items! Thanks so much for sharing at Simple & Sweet Fridays.
Hugs,
Jody
