Expanding A Collection. . .

Once I'd done a measurable amount of editing. . .
I could truly enjoy my collections On Crooked Creektt.

Over the past year,
I've been e x p a n d i n g one of my favorite collections. . .
creamy ivory and white ironstone pottery vases.

For a short while,
two of the three newest "finds" where displayed
within the Entertainment Center for my viewing pleasure.

However,
after checking out Nell Hill's Rooms We Love,
I realized I had all the necessary accessories
to duplicate Mary Carol Garrity's lovely vignette
from Chapter Five ~ Romancing The Room.

Photography of Bob Greenspan.

I adore the grouping of my vintage pottery atop the antique chest of drawers!

Natural sunlight streaming through the double patio doors
enhances the details of each individual vase.

It totally amazes me how my own home decor accessories
are a close rendition of those used in Mary Carol Garrity's book.

While our lamps and book selections are quite different,
they still add to the flow of the vignette
by creating height and visual interest.

My Italian pottery bowl with quilted pattern and filled with faux ivy
closely resembles the bowl in Rooms We Love

This page from Chapter Five ~ Romancing The Room
could have been written just for me!

On Crooked Creektt,
I take great comfort and delight in Traditional Style.

E x p a n d i n g collections will be kept to a minimum. . .
as I strive to enhance those collections that truly reflect my personal style.

Until next time. . .

On Crooked Creektt will be joining

I love your copycat look of Mary Carol's -- and your pieces are so similar. As much as I adore my blue and white, I, too, am gathering more white -- there is just something about the white that I adore! I don't have a whole lot yet . . . but I'm always on the lookout!

Love the top of your chest and I do think I like your lamp better!

your white dishes make for a calm tabletop. Lovely room and tableware. Enjoyed the peek.

They are very pretty! I love the contrast on the dark wood with the gold leafed mirror behind them. So elegant!

You know I'm loving your vintage white vases, and you did a great Nell Hill's style vignette. Thanks for the inspiration.

What a lovely vignette, Pat. Love the shapes of your vases. I have some gorgeous dark pink peonies that would look beautiful in any one of them! Your little dresser is really gorgeous and unusual.
Have a great week!

Your vignette is beautiful. I am going to copy cat. I do not have beautiful pottery you have, but I have a large collection of Milk Glass that I think will suffice.
