On Crooked Creek, dreams really do come true!

Two years ago,
"Mr. Ed and I made a room switch within On Crooked Creek's East Wing.
Our former Guest Room is now our Home Office. . .
and our former Home Office is now our Guest Room.

While searching my Inspiration Home Decor Files,
I came across my dream Guest Room from Faded Charm.

I adore the vintage creamy ivory bed and the white night stands
within this Faded Charm bedroom. 

Using this room as my inspiration, I decided to paint my vintage
Jenny Lind full size bed Paper White from Sherwin~Williams.

You can see in these before photos
the poor condition of this headboard and foot board.

With only two coats of primer,
a huge improvement to the overall appearance of the foot board!

I, also, painted my heirloom vintage night stand.

I wasn't pleased with the quality of the primer I used.

Usually,
I can paint one coat of primer, two coats of paint and be thrilled.

On this night stand,
I used one coat of primer, sanded the top and shelf,
then added a second coat of primer. . .
and three coats of paint before I was pleased with the results.

Once the paint had fully cured, I did some light distressing.

Shortly after Christmas,

"Mr. Ed" and I found this primitive bench on a 40% off $ale @ Hobby Lobby.

It is the perfect size for sitting on while putting on your socks and shoes.

Painting this vintage Jenny Lind full size bed and heirloom night stand
have made this, truly, a dream come true for On Crooked Creek's Guest Room.
