as the local merchant's began to put out the lawn and garden accessories,
I found the most amazing pillows for On Crooked Creektt's
Spring and Summer Living Room decor!
I absolutely fell in love with this h u g e bee on the khaki and white ticking stripe!
("Mr. Ed" and I are High School Sweethearts.
Our High School Colors are Black and Gold with a Hornet for the School Mascot.)
I didn't wait for a $ale or a coupon. . .
I just put the two of them into my cart and headed for the Check~Out Lane!
These amazing bee detailed lumbar pillows are perfect for our arm less chairs.
They are just low enough
to allow the beautiful details of the tucking backs to still be seen.
Once the pillows were positioned on the chairs,
I began changing the accessories to reflect our current Season.
I was thrilled to find this Bee table runner,
in a small Antique Shop, while vacationing last Autumn in Ozark, MO.
The bee skep plate is a "one~of~a~kind" find (Tim Coffey)
at our local Antique Mall and Flea Market.
The white lidded urns were purchased on a Kansas City Trip to Nell Hill's
during an Anniversary stay years ago.
The Pfaltzgraff white honey pot is a Garage $ale find.
I adore how all the neutral hues of brown, gold, green,
khaki and white all blend together in On Crooked Creektt's Living Room.
I carried the same color palette right through to my preferred chair.
The creamy ivory cabled throw is perfect for evening when the AC chills my legs.
The pillow, though displayed upright, once turned on its side
is wonderful for my lower back while reading or viewing television with "Mr. Ed".
Light and bright white with green faux silk Magnolia blossoms
surround with faux silk Cherry blossom stems fill the wrought iron wall sconces,
while "Mr. Ed's" corn planter disc fill out the opposite side
of the cool and refreshing snow capped trees and waterfall print.
On Crooked Creektt,
"Mr. Ed" and I are keeping "cool" through the Summer heat
just by watching the birds and the bees. . . inside and out!
Until next time. . .

Been seeing a lot of bee things lately, but your bee pillows are the best! I love them. I don't have many summer decorating things, but I could go the bee route.
Pat, I dearly love those bee pillows! How sweet they are also reminders of your HS days. Any lumbar pillow - the squishier the better - is a plus in my book, and so is a throw for any season, but definitely to take the chill away from A/C. I think you pointed out having that bird pillow when I showed my version (horizontal, lumbar cut) last year in my sunroom, another nice print. I really love the overall cool and calm look in your abode, friend. It sets the the tone for total comfort.
