March Arrives In Hues of Green. . .

"Mr. Ed" and I have finished the planning of renewal in the Dining Room
and are beginning to  implement minimal changes.

March usually arrives in hues of green!

However,
with little to none of the much needed moisture On Crooked Creektt,
I decided to add a touch of green without Mother Nature's help!

So~o~o. . .
while renewing the centerpiece,
I decided to feature my beloved Mother~in~law's green
depression glass sherbet bowls and saucers to our tablescape.

Most days our Dining Room table is simplistically styled
with just a centerpiece, until the table is set for our meals.

Instead of using a table runner,
I chose two place mats beneath the footed pedestal.

Ecru linen place mats are then placed atop
the soft buttery yellow  damask patterned Ralph Lauren tablecloth.

Ivory hemstitch linen napkins are folded,
then placed on the diagonal for visual appeal within the place setting.

I adore how the napkins and the dinnerware compliment one another
within their separate, yet similar patterns.

Everyday Oneida stainless flatware
combined with our everyday clear bubble glassware keep clean~up to a minimum.

Adding my vintage green rimmed juice glasses
brings an additional touch of color to the place setting.

Individual vintage crystal cut salt cellars
with miniature silver spoons are placed at the top of each dinner plate.

Since giving On Crooked Creektt's 1970's Galley Style Kitchen
a Timeless Classical Traditional renewal,
I have enjoyed extending the dining room table in our Dining Room
therefore, bringing a touch of elegance to the space.

March may, indeed arrive in hues of green!

It appears I may have angered Mother Nature,
as she dumped 6+ inches of SNOW after I set this tablescape!

Let's see now, what else can I do
that might possibly bring a bit more moisture to the Prairie???

Until next time. . .

We're happy to share the snow and ice with you! Here in NE Texas we've had enough for this year. I think you teased Mother Nature too much with that lovely green Spring setting.

Beautiful and very elegant table, Pat. Those pretty bowls really pop against the white...so pretty.
All of our snow has melted in the last 2 days...doesn't hurt my feelings one little bit! Looks like we might just be heading toward warmer weather.
Enjoy the rest of the week.

I love your pretty touches of green on your lovely table. And your snow looks nice too. We missed a good snowstorm this winter. I think spring is on it's way now, so maybe next year.

Your table is pretty pat. I like the delicate touches of green you added. I imagine all your snow is gone already! We're excited that it's going to be in the 40's today. It brings on the optimism that spring really is coming here!

Pat, I adore this table!! I love how you've highlighted your Depression Glass and vintage glasses with subtle colors. I also like a simpler centerpiece. Your's is perfect! Sorry you received more snow. We're still feeling warmer temperatures here in MO. (50s-60s) Happy St. Patrick's Day!
