Bringing It Indoors. . .

I  l o v e  Sunflowers! ! !

"Mr. Ed" grows Sunflowers just for me On Crooked Creektt!

So~o~o. . .
while the Sunflowers  are beginning to bloom,
I felt compelled to follow suit by bringing it indoors.

My amazing five foot  n o t h i n g  stature
causes anything above tabletop to be done atop a two~step ladder.

After numerous trips
                                          up~
                                                 and~
                                                            down,
the faux Sunflowers received a raving review from "Mr. Ed"!

My Santos has remained in the same spot,
on the Entry Hall Console Table,
since arriving On Crooked Creektt at Christmas 2013.

Wanting to bring her into the Living Room decor,
today was the perfect chance to include her
into the design of a Sunflower vignette.

First,
a thorough dusting of the heirloom vintage White Sewing Machine Cabinet.
(Brand name of the sewing machine.)

Next,
I placed the grey screen as a background and placed my Santos in front.
Of all the Santos I've seen, I absolutely adore this one!

She has the most mischievous,
yet gentle, expression on her face.

Each time I gaze upon her. . .

I smile!

Being a hopeless romantic,
I'd love to fill every corner of our 1970's Ranch Style Home with florals.
While you'll see florals e v e r y w h e r e, I do (try to) practice restraint.

Keeping with bringing it indoors,
I placed a pot of ivy near the lamp for a touch of green
and to replicate the vinca ivy that grows beyond the patio doors(here).

I like the softness it gives to the top of the vintage sewing machine cabinet.

Of course,
more Sunflowers are added to fill the void to the left of Santos.

Now, as I gaze upon this vignette within our Living Room,
I catch a glimpse of what lies externally in On Crooked Creektt's Gardens.

Bringing it indoors
and enjoying the view of the out~of~doors. . .
On Crooked Creektt!

Until next time. . .

I love each of your pretty vignettes, sweet lady. I love the Santos doll and I once found them in different sizes and styles in a store, but they were so expensive, I didn't buy one...I might be a little sorry now, lol!

Pat, your vignettes are always so pretty! Love your sunflowers! I plant mammoth sunflower seeds every Spring; and they usually bloom in August, just as the heat has fried everything else...lol! I can't wait! They always make me smile!

I like your sunflowers! I did have a bunch on the breakfast room table but they only last about a week so, sigh, they are gone!

But yours look very pretty and echo the outside on the inside!

I always think of July and sunflowers together! Time to bring out the sunflower flag, mailbox cover and wreaths at 1515.
Your little statue does have a sweet little face.

Why practice restraint? You love flowers. GO FOR IT!!! Put them everywhere!!! I do that with seashells around here in the summer. We don't live anywhere close to anything that even resembles an ocean or a sea, but I've got my seashells all over the place! Wallow in what you love!!!

Great job with the wall decor! It all works really well together. The Santos looks beautiful there in the living room, too. It's as if she's watching over you there.

Very nicely done! Have a beautiful week!
