we are still awaiting a killing frost!
So~o~o. . .
I created my own version of. . .
when the frost is on the pumpkin.(poem in its entirety)
While the dining room is alive with all the Traditional vibrant hues of Autumn,
I've chosen to create a soft hued Autumnal vignette for the Living Room.
Still very fond of this pair of lidded urns
purchased this Summer at Nell Hill's,
I placed them in close proximity of my devotional space.
Draping and scrunching my bronzed hued dresser scarf
grounds this vignette and adds texture to the surface of my vintage dresser.
A soft hued silk Autumnal leaf sprig surrounds the musical snow globe.
The vintage book from my youth
continues the softened hues of the Season throughout the vignette.
Cloudy skies, taking my natural lighting throughout the photo session,
allowed for these warm ambient shots that are truly typical of our Season.
Soft Autumnal hues invite one to calm after the busyness of Summer
and before the onset of Holiday gatherings.
So~o~o. . .
just for the moment, I'll linger
and I'll wait for the frost upon the pumpkin to arrive.
Until next time. . .

Oh this is so pretty and so perfect for the season. I love your gorgeous whites with the soft neutrals of fall. Such a lovely vignette. Hugs, marty
What a pretty vignette...love the different shades of white.
Have wonderful week, Pat.
Those urns look great for autumn but I can see them for Christmas with reds?? Hope you and Mr. Ed had a wonderful weekend!
Very pretty, love the colors and the textures. Thanks for sharing, visiting from BNOP.
Hi Pat!
I know that poem and your tribute is so fitting! I love those wispy whites you have in the vase and the top to the mirror is so pretty!
Love this fall vignette Pat, you picked my favorite fall colors. The urns are perfect, sure wish I could get to NH without a ten hour drive!
Lovely vignettes. I like your use of light and the cloudy light from the windows as your light source. You write so beautifully -- I like your description of this time -
" … calm after the busyness of Summer
and before the onset of Holiday gatherings." We'll have an extra week of that this year as Thanksgiving is so late.
How beautiful Pat! In word and sentiment!I love your soft vignette and the chest! You make prairie living sound so romantic, my friend! Everything you hand touches benefits from your style and grace!
I really like this arrangement. The ribbon on the pumpkin gives me an idea for one of my ivory pumpkins! Love the Nell Hill's lidded urns. Love the light you caught in your pictures!
Hi Pat! Oh, you've outdone yourself - this is gorgeous! I love how you've layered the runner with books and the other things. You're very good at this.
Thank you for popping in to see me and your kind words.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia :)
As always there on Crooked Creek, things are looking amazing. I love this chest...and the beautiful things on it. You are so good at this, dear one.
Love to you, bj
