Promise Of Spring. . .

While the sun danced in~and~out of the patio door glass
in On Crooked Creektt's Dining Room,
I captured a few glimpses of the promise of Spring.

Shining silver and sparkling crystal
are two of my favorite things to rest my eyes upon in the Dining Room.

Combine the above with heirloom vintage plates
and my heart, soul and spirit sing!

Tuck in a few vintage silver teaspoons
and I begin planning the makings of a Spring Tea!

A precious etched and crystal cut jam jar rest beside a faux bird's nest
filled with miniature eggs and surrounded with purple flora.

My everyday porcelain china platter and a Johnson Brothers England  saucer
serve as a crisp Spring backdrop for the left side of my Silver Coffee Service.

A ruffled linen table runner keeps the buffet top protected
while continuing the neutral color palette.

Heirloom plates on the right feature a hand painted plate from Japan
in hues of blue, green, gold red and purple while a heirloom saucer
surrounded in gold motif features petite purple violets.

The buffet top, also, is filled with simplistic touches of Spring!

A single faux branch and a new RAZ Import bird's nest is all that is needed.

On Crooked Creektt , while the sun dances in~and~out of the patio doors,
I'm enjoying glimpses of Spring's promise.

The promise of Spring. . .

Until next time. . .

Dear Ones,
A second update on the construction of our new Front Porch.
The concrete has all been demolished and "Mr. Ed" and I are awaiting
the arrival of the construction crew to prepare the "forms".

You can be assured there will be some "happy dancing"
On Crooked Creektt once the cement truck arrives!

Fondly,
Pat

P.S. If you're new to On Crooked Creektt,
you may view the demolition of our Front Porch Deck, here.

Its been great opening the window out and bringing in fresh air after a long winter. Your spring vignette is so pretty and just started on creating a few. Love your Hoosier cabinet!

You always have such a nice way of displaying the things you love. I love vignettes like this. Those heirloom plates from Japan are so pretty...love the little one with the purple flowers! It sure feels like spring is already here...I do believe the promise of spring is on our heels!

Such a lovely way to welcome spring - silver, crystal and china! BTW, I received that same lovely little silver candy dish as a wedding gift over 50 years ago. Enjoyed my visit with you today.

Pat, your touches of Spring are so pretty. The plates are GORGEOUS! Your silver tea service is so lovely. I went through a "phase" years ago when I got rid of ALL my silver pieces: most of which were wedding gifts! I could kick myself now. I never realized how much I would want them now. Have a beautiful evening!!!

You had me with the sunshine shining in! :) I am such a sunshine girl. Everything is so elegant! I felt as though I was on the set of Downton Abbey. Easy to see why it makes your heart sing dear one! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
