Tending The Herb Garden. . .

My  f a v o r i t e  garden On Crooked Creektt
is The Herb Garden!

On Crooked Creektt"Mr. Ed" holds the title of Master Gardener.

But, it is I whom tend to the Herb Garden!

Sweet Basil,

Flat Leaf Parsley,

Rosemary,

 German and Lemon Thyme.
"Mr. Ed" accompanies me to the Garden Center
where I carefully select On Crooked Creektt's Herb Garden plants.

Once we arrive home,
I set each herb within it's designated space.

Herb Garden May 2015.

"Mr. Ed" carefully removes the plant from the peat pot container
and places each herb within the raised Herb Box.

I take great comfort in tending to the Herb Garden early in the morning.

During our 2015 Renewal Projects On Crooked Creektt,
I switched out the park benches, formerly in the Herb Garden, to the back deck.
I placed the bistro set, previously on the deck, in the Herb Garden to fill the void.

Atop the bistro glass topped table,
I planted white vinca in zinc pots and placed them within a vintage milk carrier.

My color theme throughout On Crooked Creektt's Gardens
has always been green, purple, white and soft buttery yellow.

I adore the bright PoPs of white these vinca bring to the Herb Garden!

The Herb Garden is the place where "Mr.Ed" feeds the birds
and the rabbits that reside within On Crooked Creektt's Gardens.

One of the "twin" baby bunnies,
sampling some of the ornamental cabbage planted in the top tier.

The little "cuties" used the wooden tiered herb box as stairs to reach the top!

Whether I'm gathering fresh herbs. . .

or deadheading and watering potted vincas,

On Crooked Creektt,
Tending The Herb Garden is one out~of~doors chore I adore!

Until next time. . .

Hi Pat! Oh, what a sweet little herb garden and the herbs look so healthy. Fresh is so much better than store bought. I love the little chairs in the back yard! Your yard and gardens are so lovely! ;) Hope you're week is off to a good start.
be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

I love your herb garden, Pat! It's been many years since I maintained one, albeit a small one. Maybe next year I'll do it again. I'm seeing several that are motivating me to want to design one for myself. I can just see the rabbit stair-stepping to the top - that had to be very aerobic work for the little critter!

I like your herb garden! What a cute design. Do you dry them and use them throughout the cold weather months? Can you believe I never grow my own herbs!

I saw your share of Table It and decided to give it a try.:-)

I didn't do herbs this year. I should plan this for next season. Your herbs look great.

What a lovely herb garden! I used to have an extensive herb garden with a lovely thyme knot. I kind of miss it. I hope you stay cool with the triple digit heat! Thanks so much for sharing at Celebrate it Sunday!
