Comforts Of Home. . .

"Mr. Ed" made my heart happy with his sweet comment,
"Oh my, what a beautiful table."

During our Annual Trout Fishing Trip,
to Bennett Spring State Park each Autumn,
I try to bring a few "comforts of home"  to the condo.

Cloth napkins, place mats, napkin rings and a table runner
combined with faux designer leaves in traditional Autumnal hues
and a sprinkling of beads in shades of cranberry
align to bring the "comforts of home" to our home cooked meals.

The dinnerware is Corelle in a classic white with black outline pattern.
Heavy glass stemware and unmatched flatware
add a touch of adventure to each place setting.

Serving bowls are plain white
which enhances whatever accessories or food items are placed inside.

To create the narrow centerpiece,
I began with my cranberry hued beaded garland.

Next,
I placed the faux berry, hydrangea and chrysanthemum
napkin ring atop the garland.

Then,
I tucked in faux Autumnal hued sugar maple leaves at the base of each napkin ring.

Placing the bowl of Johnathan apples in the center has a duo~fold purpose.
First, it completes color needed to bring a cohesiveness to the tablescape.
More importantly, they provided a healthy alternate
to the bowl of candy placed on a side table.

Our coffee and tea pot are another of our "comforts of home"
that travel with us each year.
I utilize the shelved rolling cart ( in the background of the photo) for a coffee bar.

Scheduling our meal times does pose a bit of a challenge.
"Mr. Ed" being an avid Trout Fisherman, stays at the Spring 'til the whistle blows.
Many times we are dining as the sun sets.

Regardless of the hour. . .
dining in the condo at Larry's Cedar Resort
is easily done with all the  "Comforts of Home"!

Until next time. . .

Dear Ones,
As promised,
my Prince Charming (aka "Mr. Ed") had us home from our
Annual Trout Fishing Trip to Bennet Spring just before
the stroke of midnight
It, truly, was wonderful to "come apart and rest awhile". . .
but now, we are full steam ahead as we prepare for our
Bits 'n Pieces Booth at the 20th Unique Antique Market~Fall Show~!
Thank you, dear followers and friends for understanding
my brief absence!!!
Once again, it's good to be home!
Fondly,
Pat

Mr Ed knows where his bread is buttered, but is it a pretty table. Those glasses look like the ones I just got from my MIL and did a post on a couple of weeks ago?

Hi Pat! I'm still enjoying your lovely table! Oh, thank you for popping in to see me and the advise about the cleaning of the grout. I will write that cleaner down and get some. I really appreciate it! I hate dirty grout! :)
Hope you're doing well.

Shelia ;)
