Spring Tablescape. . .

One of my greatest desires On Crooked Creektt
is to set a pleasing tablescape for our meals.

My followers know that I love color within my home decor. . .
and this week's tablescape is proof of all my heart's desires.

I began with a soft buttery yellow tablecloth
and my all time favorite burnt orange quilted place mats.

Next,
I rippled a soft pastel hued orange scarf down the middle of the table.

The soft pastel hue of the scarf is present within the tulip on my
Made in German Democratic Republic China Coffee set.

I chose my everyday porcelain white dinner and salad plate
and placed the dessert plate atop the stack.

Every once in a while,
I take the time to add an artistic flair to my tablescapes.
This napkin fold received "Mr. Ed's" wide grin of approval!

I've titled this napkin fold "Carrot Top"!

* * * * * * * Tutorial * * * * * * *
By simply folding a 16"" X 16" napkin in half,
then in half again (until you have a square).

Grasp the center end and roll tightly from one side to the other.

Then,
fold down the open end slightly in layers leaving the top open.

No napkin ring is needed.
The tightly rolled napkin will keep its shape until opened by your guests.

The completed place setting is simple with a touch of whimsy.

Continuing with with vivid Spring hues from my color palette,
I arranged a variety of florals into my ecru footed vase.

Gingersnap roses, similar to those grown On Crooked Creektt,
are paired with soft buttery yellow flowers and white lilacs.

The completed place settings
for On Crooked Creektt's Spring Tablescape blends harmoniously
with the vibrant sunshine streaming through our patio doors.

My wish for you
is that Spring has arrived to your corner of The Land of Blog!

Until next time. . .

Pat, I always like your design plans. That napkin fold is interesting and different. I like your quilted placemats and I think reversible napkins.

Happy Spring. Your tablescape is so cheerful.
