I love the cool refreshing mornings, warm days and chilly breezy evenings!
It is no wonder that I have begun my Autumnal decorating,
as I want more time once the true Season arrives to enjoy every part of it.
On Crooked Creekt's Entertainment Center inspiration comes from
In The Sonoma Spirit , Romantic Prairie Style Summer 2012 magazine.
Using nature's natural elements,
I combined my love of vintage heirloom and found books
with my favorite bird statutes and nests enhanced with faux Autumnal foliage.
Following In The Sonoma Spirit lead,
I turned the spines of the vintage books towards the back of the shelf
leaving the creamy ivory to golden hued pages face the front for visual interest.
Continuing the same Autumnal decor to the right side,
I was able to keep all the design and hues similar
throughout On Crooked Creektt's Entertainment Center.
I adore the texture of the vintage golden hued pages of my heirloom books.
While our weather here on the Prairie continues to give a nudge towards Autumn,
I'm progressing with my Autumnal decorating, as well.

I love the fall and those birds remind me of My Mom. She had alot of bird statues all over the house. I wished I still had some, but they got lost when we were moving one time. Thanks for the memories.
I love a collected look on shelves like this. It all looks so cozy for fall. I love the birds too!
Pat, it looks so pretty. I need to re do my built-ins in the living room, just not going full blown orange this year. I like how you use nature in your decor. It's lovely.
Love your natural setting vignette. By the way, I'm a native of Sonoma California so got a kick out of the tie in. My mother still lives there so I visit often, but my heart lives in Texas.
Pat, as always, your styling is beautiful, smart and a perfect reflection of the season. I love the transition from summer to fall. Although we are still in full summer mode right now with heat at home and currently on vacation, I do look forward to some cool mornings. We had one today (we are in Grand Canyon Village), and it has been wonderful. I'll be making similar transitions like you've done once I'm home. Thanks for the inspiration, friend.

Pat I love a your vignettes! I have that bird with the gold ball on a stand and never thought to mix it this way. You are terrific with vignettes! I've got the fall bug creeping in. I have a few ideas going in my head- just struggling to hang on a little longer to summer. There's an abandoned birds nest I should go collect before I forget.
Pat, you always create such wonderful vignettes! Everything looks so warm and cozy. You will be ready to savor every bit of the Fall season!
Adorable. I love your birds. Nests are so much fun for fall. I love it when a magazine inspires.
I love this! I love the use of birds and nests embellished with the faux autumn foliage! Beautifully done my friend!!!
Pat, You have a beautiful Fall collection of things you love. I am looking forward to Fall too! The weather will be cooler soon and shorter days, which will help. Thanks for your inspiration always, dear friend ♥
Hugs, Jody
I love the prairie style that you have incorporated for fall Pat! Fall is my second favorite season, following behind spring. I too am feeling touches of fall and starting to incorporate it into our home. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
hugs,
Jann
