Autumn's Calling. . .

It's a beautiful Summer day On Crooked Creektt!

A nice rumbling rain shower this morning
followed by sunshine and 78 degrees!

The lawns are amazingly still green and lush,
but Autumn's Calling. . .

My favorite Season of the year. . .
                                                       Autumn's Calling. . .

This sprig of Autumnal leaves
shows the hues of Autumn's color palette I adore!

The greens of Summer that hold on as long as possible.
The amber hues of yellows and golds with just a sprinkling of rust.
These are truly, Autumn's classical colors!

Try as I could,
I just couldn't bring myself to surround myself with all those glorious hues!

On Crooked Creektt
by this time in the Season, most of our landscape has now turned to brown.
And brown it stays until covered with a bed of freshly fallen s n o w!

Except this year!!!
As I gaze beyond the patio doors, our lawn and gardens
remain lush and green throughout On Crooked Creektt's views.

So~o~o. . .
I kept the same hues from On Crooked Creektt's lawn and gardens
on the inside of my built~in china cabinet!

My lidded vintage with French tureen
pairs nicely with an English ivory pitcher filled with faux greenery.

Crackle white pumpkins with broad green leaves
and green mercury tea lights embellished with silver thrill my soul!

More pumpkins in marbled hues of brown, gray and green
with a touch of rustic metal leaves of the same hues fill the bottom shelf.

Faux creamy ivory  florals with a touch of green centers
fill a mercy glass urn and compliment the white tea pot,
creamers and lidded sugar bowl.

As the Autumnal Season progresses,
the hues of this built~in Dining Room cabinet may take on additional colors.

But for now,
I am quite pleased with the subtle hues of Autumn's Calling. . .

The heirloom vintage coffee urn is awaiting our beverage of choice.
Cups and saucers are stacked with care while
added dessert "snack" plates are awaiting On Crooked Creektt's ovens morsels.

I've filled the carpenter's box with a serving platter and additional dinner plates
perfect for impromptu dining on the deck.

Caramel hued linen napkins surrounded in rustic leaf napkin rings
are combined with a plaid linen tea towel and faux pears.

On Crooked Creektt. . .
                                                 Autumn's Calling . . .

Until next time. . .

On Crooked Creektt will be joining

Hello Pat, such a beautiful collection of creamy white dishware. Love the soup tureen and that silver vintage coffee urn really catches my eye. Lovely additions of pumpkins to your dining room cabinet. Happy Fall Pat.

Everything looks beautiful, Pat! I think you've found the perfect way to add a little Fall without having to kiss Summer goodbye entirely.

Dear Pat,

Your dish cabinet is glorious....just such lovely beauty. I have grown to love white and neutral colors so much.

I think it is so important for all of us to remember that we are all different and decide to decorate for seasons at different times. What a boring world it would be if we were all alike!

I love your individual sweetness.

No rain here and now the temps are back in the 90's YUCK!
Amazing how your beautiful whites look good with the colors of fall. Cute pears. Also meant to tell you how glad it is to know that Mr Ed is doing so well after the last year. Always love reading what you 2 are up to!

Very pretty, Pat. I do like your sprig of fall up at the top of the cabinet! A nice blend of fall and summer with your display.

I really enjoyed seeing your fall touches. The pops of colour with the white look terrific. I especially like how you have displayed that wooden caddy with the white plates, plaid towel, napkins and the pears in front...got me wishing for one of those! I'm just hauling up my fall dƩcor bins today..what a mess I've got going on!

Everything looks amazing...last year, I did the same on my mantel. Kept most of my WHITES, added stalks of COTTON BOLLS and used WHITE sunflowers. Will do the same and add a few little white pumpkins.
I won't be doing this for several more weeks.....

I just can't get enough of that beautiful cabinet! I really like how you went with the shades of green for transitional colors, so smart! And those pumpkins are divine!
I am always so thrilled to see what you share at the party!
