Parade of 2015's Projects. . .

Welcome to On Crooked Creektt's. . .
Parade of 2015's Projects!

Renewal, my chosen word for 2015

One word,
yet it holds multiple meanings On Crooked Creektt in 2015

The first is in the renewal of the interior, and some exterior,
of our 1970's Ranch Style Home.

With "Project List"in hand,
"Mr. Ed" and I began the task at large with. . .

2015's Project #1. . .

2015's Project #4. . .

2015's Project #5. . .

2015's Project #6. . .

I am quite fortunate to have my very own handyman On Crooked Creektt!
Without "Mr. Ed's" abilities and determination,
much of our 2015 Projects would not have been possible.

The second is the renewal I had planned for my health.

Wanting to "get fit", I began a daily exercise program
combined with better eating habits.

After contacting a bacterial fungus infection,
my entire system was failing quickly
and I spent more than 6 weeks as a home bound person.

I have an amazing Primary Care Physician.
She, along with a team of specialist, now have me nearing 'normality'
as we begin to enter into 2016!

My chosen word for 2016 is reveal!

I, truly, believe that God will reveal
new adventures and destinations for my life in 2016!

My wish for you is that all your hopes for 2016 come to be!
Happy New Year!!!

Welcoming Winter. . .

As a child,
I listened to many of the female vocalist of the 1950's and 1960's.

Songs such as,Where Did My Snowman Go and Suzy Snowflake
still creep into my musical mind at this time of year.

Singing these songs is one of the ways
 I Welcome Winter!

On Crooked Creektt
another way I welcome winter
is by bringing out my Snowmen!

Once all of the Christmas decor has been put away,
our home becomes a bit stark.

With  the addition of my Snowmen
and a few sprigs of faux evergreen,
our home becomes an indoor Winter Wonderland !

I adore this paper mache Snowman!

It appears he's been helping take down all the Christmas wreaths!

The feather Snowflake Tree
is one I leave packed away until Christmas passes.

Many years ago,
I stopped into a Primitives Shop in the b i g city
and found this famous Snowman's hat.

This Welcoming Winter vignette
rests atop our Entertainment Center
in On Crooked Creektt's upper level Living Room.

"Mr. Ed" placed my rusty wire shabby chic white metal star garland
atop the heirloom farmhouse window.

I added three creamy ivory silver mercury ornaments
around the base of the Snowman to resemble Snowballs.

On either side of this vignette are our heirloom oil lanterns,
each with a  snow dappled sprig of evergreen.

I  l o v e  s n o w!!!

"Mr. Ed" and I are anxiously awaiting
our first measurable snowfall
of the Season On Crooked Creektt!

For now,
I'll be content to enjoy our Snowman indoors
On Crooked Creektt!

Until next time. . .
