I took down all the Winter decorations and packed them away.
For the first time e v e r,
I relocated my Santos from the Entry Hall into our upper level Living Room.
She's an amazing neutral hue of taupe and gray
and blends in nicely with our Living Room decor.
The mercury silver vase continues to hold the Star of Bethlehem flora.
The vibrant green and whites
are a subtle contrast to the dark wood tones of the antique dresser.
Truly, a blessing that our prayer jar sits empty as we begin 2016.
Vintage white pottery and a few silver hearts complete this wintry white vignette.
To the opposite side of the Living Room,
sits my alabaster and ivory Made in Italy, Edwardian Era bust.
I absolutely adore the peaceful image on her face.
I moved the prayer jar to the four drawer dresser
and replaced it with a stone coaster.
This is the spot where I enjoy my morning devotions
along with my first cup of coffee for the day.
Again, this week On Crooked Creektt
our temperatures are predicted to be in the high 50's and low 60's.
In keeping with the thoughts of Spring days ahead,
I created this vignette with my golden birds and an empty nest.
It reminds me of the empty nests
still tucked within the rose bush and tree in On Crooked Creektt's Gardens.
This vignette signifies the fact that "Mr. Ed" and I are too, empty nesters.
Words for healing, and written in stone,
are contained within a neutral tone maple leaf.
Only the soft hued green poinsettia's,
placed beneath the vintage sewing machine cabinet,
remind us that Wintry white vignettes complement our current Season.

Your tables look so pretty and I like the idea of a prayer jar. The bust of the woman is really pretty. Happy Winter.
Everything looks so pretty, Pat! I loved seeing your vignettes! That room looks like such a comfy place to sit & enjoy your coffee. I love the silver hearts...they are fabulous!
Just beautiful, Pat. Each vignette is so pretty and unique. Love that bust, she DOES look so serene. Enjoy your weather; we, too are supposed to get up into the 60's for a couple of days!!!! I can't WAIT!!!!
Pat, your vignettes are truly beautiful! So love your decorating style!

Everything is so pretty. Love those pretty silver hearts. I have those same two birds that you have in the empty nester vignette. That made me smile when I read that... Very cute with the birds nest! That white bust is very elegant- she's very graceful looking. When I did my Valentine plate rack I removed my wintry look. I think I'll go for something new after Valentine's Day! Easter is early so maybe I'll head that direction.
Such a beautiful collection of vintage Valentines..wow, they are beautiful! Love how you've diplayed them so they greet all who come through your front door:) XO- Wendi@H2OBungalow
I hope you're right and we can put away the Winter decor. You've inspired me again to get busy making our home lighter and brighter.
Very pretty! I love the stones with the words on them! Thanks for sharing at Home Sweet Home!
