While the temperature is utterly frigid On Crooked Creektt,
I designed a Wintry Seasonal Tablescape
using candles and pine cones surrounded by snowflakes.
I adore my 'thrifty find' $5.00 snowflake tablecloth!
Snow or no snow,
it was time to bring this beauty into On Crooked Creektt's Dining Room.
While taking down the Christmas 2015 Decor,
"Mr. Ed' and I decided to reduce our oval shaped Dining Room
table back down to a circular table as we begin dining in 2016.
I began with my crystal candlestick holders filled with creamy ivory tapers.
I added three zinc pots filled with huge Colorado pine cones.
Next,
I used natural wood circular place mats,
my wooden handled flatware purchased during out "Tours of Duty" in Germany,
and a natural linen napkin.
Vintage pine branch dinnerware sits atop my neutral Fontinella dinnerware,
adding a touch of color along with the natural elements of the centerpiece.
While reorganizing their kitchen,
my son and daughter~in~law ordered new dinnerware and glasses.
I was thrilled to be the recipient of their 'cast off' stemware!
This past week is the first time since "Mr. Ed" and I purchased our draperies
that we've pulled them closed for any length of time.
So~o~o. . .
while the temperature continues to drop
and the North wind doth blow,
On Crooked Creektt,
"Mr. Ed" and I will remain cozy and warm on this cold, wintry night!!!
Until next time. . .

I love seeing the touches of evergreenen in your beautiful room! I am currently just crazy for pinecones so I love eveything about your table setting. Especially the beautiful plates and the centerpiece. Right up my alley!
What a cozy place to dine and your centerpiece is just so sweet! Love the idea and I just might take it!
Very cozy setting for a cold winter evening. We may have no snow, but we do have biting cold weather here in Kansas!
I love the pine cone plates...and those Colorado giants make a great centerpiece.
Wishing you and Mr. Ed a great week...stay warm.
What a beautiful tablescape for a winter evening! Stay warm!
Its been bitter cold here today too, and we got hit with snow last night. What a cozy area to have winter evening meal. I wanted to use so many pinecones and my hubs accidentally put them away. Our storage area is entered outside under the Charmer..so there's no way he's going back out there to haul them out. Your tablescape is so pretty and I LOVE your china hutch...
Your table is perfect, so my taste! I love pinecones and use them all the time. Love, love your pinecone plates, the only ones I've seen have been in a antique store and were rather expensive.
Visiting from Jann's party.

Hi sweet Pat! Oh, what a lovely table setting. I adore your centerpiece with the candles and the pinecones in the little tubs. And then your dishes have the pinecones on them! I love that! Very cozy and wintery! Thank you so much for always popping in to see me.
be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Everything is beautiful...I especially love those zinc pots!

Your table is lovely. I always look for ideas on table settings because that is my only job for meals. Steve spends so much time cooking so I like to set a nice table each night.
Thanks for Sharing Your Cup!
Pat, I have that same tablecloth. I think I paid $5 for mine as well. Picked it up a few years ago at a damaged goods store. I have it on a round table in my entry. I also have pinecones in pots on my winter mantle. We think alike my friend. :) But oh how those plates and chargers would go with what I have on my table right now. Love them! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
hugs,
Jann
Love this table! And I am loving that you got your tablecloth for only five dollars! What a steal...

Christine
You have such a pretty room. I'm drooling over your vintage pine plates, so pretty.
Oh Pat, I adore these dishes and the flatware! The pinecones in the zinc pots look fabulous and the whole space is so inviting and cozy! I love it all and hope it has warmed a little since this post!!! I will be sharing the whole breakfast room on Mon. Thanks so much for your visit.
