like the amazing accessories that hold supporting roles for your decor!
Five years ago,
I purchased our sofa for the upper level Living Room.
I love it's neutral hue and the large brown pillows that came with it!
It came with four pillows.
Two were not of my preference
and were immediately donated to our local Thrift Shop.
Since that time,
I have struggled with finding other pillows to compliment those on the sofa.
This past Autumn,
I found the exact pillow style I was needing when I read,
Choosing The Perfect Pillows (here) post from Yvonne at Stone Gable.

I began by clearing off the sofa.
Then,
I replaced the two 18" brown pillows.
Just recently,
"Mr. Ed" and I purchased these two
16" gray and white pillows at our local Target.
I am pleased with the overall style they bring to our upper level Living Room.
While out shopping at our local Hobby Lobby,
"Mr. Ed" and I found zippered pillow covers in the fabric department.
I love the neutral linen appearing fabric and simple motif of this accent pillow.
The perfect solution to updating his 12" by 20" heirloom feather pillow!
For the first time in five years,
I can honestly say, "I'm pleased with the way our sofa looks."

to my matching chair and added my adorable Snowman pillow.
The matching chair was my 2015 birthday gift from "Mr. Ed"!
On "Mr. Ed"s 2015 birthday, which fell on Thanksgiving Day,
I gave him an I O U for a new recliner.
He found one that was the "perfect" fit at Lazy Boy.
However, blue corduroy was n o t in our design style.
I'm quite pleased with the fabric "The Resident Decorator" chose!
Both, "Mr. Ed" and I, are getting comfortable with the recent updates
to On Crooked Creektt's upper level Living Room.
Hard to believe,
that all this began with the Furniture Scootin' Boogie (here)
this past January, isn't it???
This is now our view from On Crooked Creektt's Dining Room
into our upper level Living Room.
Our home is filled with hand picked furniture pieces
to harmoniously combine with our cherished heirlooms.
"Mr. Ed" and I simply added amazing accessories
that hold supporting roles for On Crooked Creektt's decor!
"By wisdom a house is built,
and by understanding it is established;
by knowledge the rooms are filled
with all precious and pleasant riches."

You did a great job with the pillows! Love what you chose to go with those you had. Pillows are sometimes a problem I think and it's nice that you found ones that you liked as well as that cute little cover for the heirloom pillow. I think, really, that they should sell pillow COVERS rather than pillows. And then you could just update what you have!
Accessories to a home are like jewelry to an outfit. The outfit is nice but with a little "bling" it makes it "zing" -- that's what accessories do to a home!
Yours is looking great.
I've been doing some things here too! And liking the look a lot better!

It's nice you were able to implement what you gleaned from stone gable. And it's amazing how pillows can change a room decor. What you have done is just lovely and the room looks great!
You've done a great job my friend. Those pillows are very pretty and boy, do they change everything in a big way! All I have to do is look at Marty's posts with her changing of the pillows and voila!
Have a nice week ahead.

"Supporting roles" sums it up when describing pillows on the sofa and you've chosen a terrific combination (love the geometric design ones)and arranged them perfectly!
Those look perfect and you are the second person to tell me about Hobby Lobbys pillow covers. I will need to check them out. Love your living room!
Love the look you have here, Pat. I'm in search of a new sofa, and chair. I think I won't get a love seat this time. I'd rather have a couple of nice chairs. Thanks for sharing your lovely home!
I am loving your couch, I always favor the 3 seat cushions instead of the two cushions don't you? It seems more comfy and functional. Love the pillows you found, they look great!
Hi Pat, your room is just so beautiful! I love your choice of pillows. I always have a hard time picking pillows for my living room sofa as the fabric is a bit busy! :) Your style is just lovely. Thank you for your prayers for Carter and me. You'll never know how much it means to me.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Pillows really transform furniture. Love your choices. Sometimes we do have to spend lots of time looking for the right pillows. Thank you for linking up to our Table It Link party on Sundays. xo
Love the new pillows and really make a statement with the couch. I feel like I have a hate/love affair with pillows. I'm either moving them, rearranging or puffing up, removing from the bed, putting back on the bed the next morning. But they play such an important role in our homes.
You room looks lovely. I love how simply changing pillows can impact a room in such a big way. You made some nice choices.
Pat I like the pillows you have selected for your room. I really like those armless side chairs. They are really chic. Great looks!

The pillows look great! What a lovely home you have! Thanks for sharing at Table It!
Pillows might play a supporting role, but they are just as important.
I change out our pillows on our white slipcovers periodically, but it's more of a rotation from the sofa to the chair, to the guest room bed ....
Your sofa looks great with the new pillows.
Thanks for Sharing Your Cup!
You did great Pat! Love the combination. I have such a pillow fetish. I have so many that I have to continually swap them out. lol! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
hugs,
Jann
The new pillows look I am glad you are happy now! The recliner is so nice and love the fabric too!
