Autumnal Family Room. . .

"Mr. Ed" and I are fortunate to have two living areas!
Today, as we open our Autumnal Family Room for your viewing pleasure,
it's all about the 'Celebrations of Our Lives'!

As you descend the stairs off On Crooked Creektt's Entry Hall,
the red chicken wire cabinet is the first thing you see.

Since Autumn is our Annual Trout Fishing Vacation time of the year,
I've filled the chicken wire cabinet to the brim with Fishing memorabilia.

I adore family celebrations in On Crooked Creektt's Family Room!

I am ever grateful for the inspiration at Southern Cottage Magazine
where I received direction for bringing our Family Room furnishings
closer to the fireplace.

Combined with warmth that the burning candles give within the fireplace,
quilts and a plaid Pendelton throw are readily available in baskets
or upon the ladder for cuddling on those chilly evenings.

Prevalent subtle Autumnal hues
are found within my Pottery Barn ikat couch cushions.

I've filled every possible basket and container that I could
with my all~time favorite flower. . .Sunflowers!

Vintage crocks atop the Primitive Cabinet
are filled with vibrant Autumnal hued Maple leaves
complemented with yellow and orange Black~Eyed Susan's.

The Indian Corn that was found on our recent Road Trip
now adds a touch of Autumn to the shelves of my Primitive Cabinet.

The main function of On Crooked Creektt's Family Room is to provide
a special space for celebration of family traditions and holidays.

Within the Family Room decor,
I choose to blend a causal design for creating new memories,
relaxing and reflection.

A special Thank You to all who commented and visited

Every image of your lovely home screams Autumn, but in a soft and serene way too. Even your furniture has Fall colors. I love that hutch and the gorgeous things on top of it. The fireplace is lovely and your home is warm, pretty and inviting just like you are!
Have a blessed week.

Love your cozy space. like your Ed and Pat sign. The white cabinet is wonderful. Love the touches of the blankets in the basket, and all the vignettes. Can I come over? especially since I was freezing last night.

Pat, this red lover adores your red chicken wire cabinet! Love crocks and your red handled butter churn filled me with envy. lol! Love all of your beautiful cabinets! Our home is very open and we don't have a lot of wall space. I have quite a few cabinets, but would have more if I had more walls. hee-hee! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
hugs,
Jann

I love that you have a fishing theme in your red cabinet because of your annual trout fishing trip. That's what decorating is all about for me too. Memories! I'm jealous of your antlers. I'd like to get some more but everywhere I go they are so expensive nowadays. There is a place back in Olympia that had a whole barrel of them in a back room and they were quite inexpensive. They were a family junk store and weren't even on the Internet so I guess they didn't realize the popularity of the little guys.
Have a lovely weekend my friend,
Patti

What a cozy room, Pat! I love how you've honored your guy's pastime with all the fishing accessories, and that white primitive cabinet lures me right in too! I do like those ikat pillows from PB - I have debated those over the past couple of years (haven't sprung just yet). I like that they're versatile enough to go with the season and/or a Native American or global decor. Very nice.
