My Favorite Spot. . .

As a child, do you remember having a favorite spot?

That special space
though it may have belonged to many, you claimed it just for yourself?

As an adult, I have a favorite spot.
Though it belongs to many, I have claimed it just for myself.

Come along,
and I'll take you to my favorite place at Bennett Spring State Park.

The journey to my favorite place is at the base of an incline
less than a 5 minute walk from the Condo at Larry's Cedar Resort.

My journey began at the top of the incline.
To the right of the stop sign is where we rent a condo every year.

As I journey down the incline,
and turn the bend. . .my favorite place comes into view.

The peace that floods over my soul
is as swift as the current produced by natures pulsing waters.

The Gauge House, in the far background,
was constructed during the 1930's to measure the daily flow of the Spring.

A single park bench located at the base of my favorite place
not only provides a spot for me to linger,
but also gives breathtaking views.

A note to "Mr. Ed" during our Annual Trout Fishing Trip to Bennett Spring:

Dear Ed,
You'll find me at my favorite place.
                                             Love,
                                                  Pat

"Mr. Ed" knew just where to find me. . .

Until next time. . .

But we haven't been there in a long time.

Beautiful and reminds me of the Pac NW. Gotta love a running river.
Blessings to you dear Pat and continued prayers for Mr. Ed.
