Almost liken to an invasion. . .
On Crooked Creektt it's a sunflower profusion!
As the last days of Spring approached,
visions of the vibrant hues from the Sunflower Patch
greatly influenced my decor decision for the Dining Room.
I unwound the faux greenery and the bird's nest from the chandelier,
thinking all the while that it was time for a change of hues for the Dining Room!
My gold and red stripe chandelier shades are a great compliment
to the new hues making their way into On Crooked Creektt's decor
on the Upper Level.
Next,
I moved to the top of the Dining Room Hutch,
where over~sized sunflowers draw the eye upwards
upon entering the Dining Room.
I adore how the faux sunflowers mimic those
in On Crooked Creektt's Gardens
while distributing the gold and red color palette throughout the room.
Then,
I moved along the top of the buffet with a similar floral arrangement.
A sage green urn filled with faux red and green sunflowers
softly composed of yarn centers.
I laced green burlap ribbon through the handles of the urn
and tied my signature short fat double bow.
Acorn twigs will take this arrangement far into another Season.
Finally,
time to dress the Dining Room table with similar decor and hues.
As seen in the overhead view,
I set the table for four as we prepare for dining
with our son and daughter~in~law.
Beginning with a soft buttery yellow circular tablecloth,
I added my gold, red and sage green floral striped quilted place mats.
Our everyday white porcelain china keeps clean~up to a minimum
followed with our everyday Oneida stainless flatware
and finishing with our clear bubble glass stemware. . .
all of which are dishwasher safe.
A brown hued wooden napkin ring incorporates a natural element
as it holds the reverse matching napkin.
Instead of a floral centerpiece,
I chose individual sunflower tea light candles in clay hued pots
resting atop ironstone butter pats at each place setting.
The centerpiece 'a la resistance' is my ironstone tureen!
Family dining,
within our Dining Room On Crooked Creektt,
reflects the Gardens outside the patio doors.
A cohesive change in the Dining Room On Crooked Creektt
of golds, reds and sage greens,
indeed a sunflower profusion!
Until next time. . .
