Autumn's Arrival. . .

As the first "official" day of Autumn arrives On Crooked Creektt,
I've completed the Autumnal decor of the built ~ in china cabinet
within our Dining Room.

What began with a more subtle Autumnal hue. . .

has evolved into a more Traditional Autumnal color palette.

Taking the clue from atop the built ~ in china cabinet's
glorious hued ginkgo leaf spray,

I spread the same color palette to the open shelf design, as well!

* * * * * * * Tutorial * * * * * * *
I began with placing two vintage white scalloped plates
within my two~tier plate rack.

Then,
I added one short beaded garland
and twisted the ends together at the back of the stand to create a wreath.

Next,
I place one of my leaf embossed bowls atop the garland.

I continued the same process on the bottom section of the plate rack.

I adore the slight continuation of the Traditional Autumnal color palette
that these beaded garland wreaths add to the over ~ all design.

Next,
I set the background for this space before continuing on with filling the plate rack.

After tying my signature 'fat' bow in a sheer copper hue,
I placed a medium size brown glass pumpkin within the top bowl.

I attached a miniature sprig of petite leaves, pine cones and pumpkins
along the arm of the plate rack,
as an added touch to the sights of the Seasons decor.

Two smaller brown pumpkins, tied with sheer brown ribbon
were added to the bottom bowl of the plate rack.

I placed another small sprig at the base of the plate rack,
for consistency and to fill in the void closest to the wall.

You can visually enjoy the impact
that the addition of brown pumpkins brings to this vignette.

Next,
I direction my attention to the heirloom vintage coffee urn.

The size of a newly purchased serving tray, from my local Hallmark Store,
was the correct size and motif for this space.

I filled the tray with tan linen napkins,
rolled and wrapped in wrought iron rustic single leaf napkin rings.

One final miniature sprig of petite leaves, pine cones and pumpkins
keeps the consistency of the design throughout the open shelf vignette.

My recently purchased Sheffield USA white swirled china serving platter,
paired with my tan edged Homer Lauglin gravy boat
atop and ironstone oval tray, completes this Autumnal vignette.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Now,
as the Autumnal decor is completed within our Dining Room,
it's time for "Mr. Ed" and I to sit back and enjoy the 'official' arrival of Autumn
On Crooked Creektt!

Until next time. . .

Wonderful job- I love the autumnal hues you added. The plate rack turned out cute! I like the napkins laying there next to the vintage coffee urn. I needed something on my shelf with napkins but didn't think of using the napkin rings. I'll have to add some to mine now!! Happy Fall Pat!

Pat, that's so pretty! Love the garland between the plates on the tiered rack. The gingko spray is really nice too! Happy Autumn to you! It's a gloriously blue sky, puffy cloud kind of day here, cool in the morning, and warming to just what you'd expect on a nice, fall day!

Lovely whisper of fall in your cozy home! I especially like how you styled the plate rack ~ I don't have one and now I think I need to be on the lookout for one! Have a wonderful fall season ~

Autumn is looking very pretty on Crooked Creek...you have inspired me to get out what few fall decorations I have and get started here in the Summer House.
We are having a little cooler weather here on the Plains of West Texas and that helps get me in an autumn mood.

Pat, it really looks beautiful. I love the addition of the berry garlands and the brown pumpkins are perfect! I have a built in desk area that I added glass to the cabinets and painted it white last year to be more of a built in china cupboard and I am loving it. So happy to have you sharing with SYC.
hugs,
Jann

I really like the fall beaded garland and you have used it wonderfully - great tip to put it between the plates on the tiered stand! I'm going to remember that, it looks terrific. The rest of your display is pretty as well, your napkins add the perfect touch.
