much like our current freshly fallen snow,
is getting a mix of wintry whites.
With minimal re~arranging,
I was able to create a wintry mix behind the glass doors
of the built~in china cabinet in a matter of minutes.
Living on the Prairie,
most of our year is spent surrounded by hues of brown, due to our arid climate.
By adding a touch of green,
I am reminded that our current weather only lasts for a Season.
For added texture,
I chose a few pics of faux evergreens.
A Majolica Bordallo Pinheiro handled serving platter adds textural interest
as a backdrop for my English bone china creamer, lidded sugar bowl and pitcher.
The use of wintry white faux florals throughout
adds another textural dimension and interest
against the dark walnut wood and the vivid Waverly wallpaper backing.
Winter is one of my favorite Seasons.
I adore the chill and the glistening snow. . .
since retirement, even more so!
And. . .
since "Mr. Ed" and I've no place to go. . .
let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!
* * * Coming up next. . .
the Whites Of Winter continues
throughout the Dining Room On Crooked Creektt! * * *
Until next time. . .
On Crooked Creektt will be joining
and. . .
Susan @ Between Naps On The Porch for Metamorphosis Monday!
and. . .
and. . .
Each and every week,
seeds of inspiration bloom from these
host and hostesses linky parties.
Be sure to visit and delight your family
dwelling with brilliant interior design.

I see some familiar pieces? is the plate Johnson brothers? I also have the same Ironstone gravy boat, a very old family heirloom.
Your shelves look fantastic, Pat! Love all the white with little bits of green.
Love your cabinet display of winter whites with the hints of green, Pat - very calming together. That little jar (?) in the shape of a bunch of asparagus stalks is particularly attractive!
Love your winter whites and the touches of green are just perfect! I always enjoy how you change your cabinet seasonally.
Very pretty - love how the white pops against the deep background! xo Karen @ Beatrice Euphemie
So pretty! I've kept some silver and gold out for January, but I'm getting tired of the sparkle~You've inspired me to put it away and get out some wintry white!

The wintry white looks good to my eyes. The green of the hydrangeas and the asparagus against the white looks fresh and Spring like. Thank you for sharing Pat.
It all looks so pretty. I'm a big fan of white myself and need to get started on a new look for my hutch. Thanks for the inspiration.
Beautiful collection and it looks so pretty with the background colors.
Thanks so much for sharing at AMAZE ME MONDAY!
Blessings,
Cindy
