we've been flirting with Winter weather.
So far this Winter,
we have seen temperatures in the upper 50's!
I cut back all the herbs in On Crooked Creektt's Herb Garden,
but the parsley thinks it's Spring and keeps returning!
None the less. . .
I'm flirting with Winter weather in the Dining Room!
As you can see by my silver trayscape,
winter whites with a touch of green mercury glass
serves as a flirtatious centerpiece.
I adore the silver topped vintage salt and pepper shakers!
Some are plain molded glass,
while others are intrigue cut crystal.
The jeweled front of the green mercury glass tea light
is reminiscent of Winter's finest snowflakes!
My first tablescape of 2015
features a classic black and white checked place mat
against a tablecloth laden with Winter snowflakes!
I've selected my everyday white porcelain dinnerware.
I chose this dinnerware because I'm convinced that the embossed
pattern is that of pressed snowflakes!
Everyday Oneida flatware,
combined with our bubble glass stemware,
keeps clean~up as cool as a Winter breeze!
On the menu tonight is a bowl of steaming hot
homemade vegetable soup from the left~over Christmas pot roast.
Yummy!!!
Made the day after Christmas, then frozen for busy times On Crooked Creektt.
While the scenery beyond the patio doors
is liken to that of sunny West Coast, On Crooked Creektt. . .
I'll keep flirting with Winter weather!
* * * Coming up next. . .
Wintry Whites in the Dining Room decor On Crooked Creektt! * * *
Until next time. . .
On Crooked Creektt will be joining

and. . .
What a pleasant surprise to begin 2015!!!
With a grateful heart to Jody and Stan @ Rooted In Thyme for

I love your beautiful winter white table! The setting is just fabulous, always love black and white checks! Enjoy your SNOW now!!!! XO
Our daffodils are peeking out here at least a month or more early. But the cold is returning so it will slow them down. I'm glad you got a little snow to remind you it's winter, and I love your tables cape. Looks like January!
Oh love the snowflakes. Getting colder here but no snow. Have a great New Years!
Hi Pat,
What a lovely spot for some warm winter soup! So pretty.
I hope your holiday season has been wonderful, and wishing a happy new year!
Happy New Year, I am not a real wintery person so I don't like to even think about winter. Your trayscape and first tablescape of 2015 is beautiful. Love the silver and green mercury glass piece. Love your use of the black and white, love the check. Take care.
Perfectly lovely, Pat.
Happy New Year!
Love your Winter Tablescape!! I'll be featuring you this week at Simple & Sweet Fridays. Happy New Year
2015 to you and your family!!
Hugs,
Jody
I love your glowing winter tablescape. I have a round table on which rectangular placemats never seem to fit very well. I never thought to try round ones. I can see from many of your posts that they work perfectly on your round table, and I'll be adding some to my collection. Thanks so much for inspiring me!
I LOVE the table settings and centerpiece!! I've been looking for vintage white pieces and they are hard to find here!! Have a wonderful day!
