My March Madness. . .

My March Madness On Crooked Creektt
does not involve basketball,
but rather creating and designing enough inventory 
for our Bits 'n Pieces Spring Booth.

So~o~o. . . 
as I wearily climbed the stairs recently and entered the Dining Room,
I was met by a very s a d tablescape. 

While dinner was in the oven,
I visited several of my favorite blogs for inspiration in my own home decor.

Once dinner was over,
I began creating my March Madness tablescape! ! !

For me, 
creating an inviting tablescape always begins with the linens.
Most of the tablecloths On Crooked Creektt are round and white.
Because the assortment is mostly white 
it narrows the "playing field" considerably.

Nothing states the approaching of Spring quite like white eyelet, to me!
Combine white eyelet with green. . .and cabbages. . .
and my March Madness shouts, "Bring it on"! ! ! 

Atop the white eyelet tablecloth,
I placed my green cabbage leaf place mats.

Next,
came my newly purchased dinnerware.
I haven't purchased additional place settings,
but "Mr. Ed" and I do enjoy how well this dinnerware
compliments our other collections On Crooked Creektt.

Although you can barely see the Majolica Bordallo Pinheiro salad plate,
I adore how it mimics the ruffle of the cabbage leaf place mat!

Returning from a New Year's Day Wedding,
"Mr. Ed" and I stopped for a visit to Front Porch Antiques
and I happened upon four Bordallo Pinheiro cabbage bowls.

Because "Mr. Ed" and I are at the "top of the key"
towards our goal for our Bits 'n Pieces Spring Booth Inventory,
I wanted to continue an easy clean~up with this tablescape.

Therefore, 
I'm using my everyday flatware and stemware. . .all dishwasher safe!

Wanting to add an "air of elegance",
I added my vintage salt and pepper shakers to the table.

There's no "time~out" 
in My March Madness for this tablescape. 

Once the place settings were complete, 
I lined the center of the table with three cabbage leaf place mats.

I kept the centerpiece simply stated
by placing faux boxwood in a creamy ivory urn.

Snowball florals and sprigs of tree branches with lime green blossoms
add contrast and interest to the floral arrangement.

Majolica serving platters were added to opposite sides
to extend the centerpiece across the round Dining Room table.

While it may appear the "Mr. Ed" and I are entering into "overtime",
we truly are nearing the "final countdown" On Crooked Creektt.

Which, by the way, 
could possibly leave a "wee bit" of time for a few shenanigans!
