Our Love Was Meant To Be. . .

When one stops to reflect,
it 's odd the things we inherit from our family.

My MoMa l o v e d Elvis Presley!
Me, not so~o~o much.

I inherited my MoMa's Classic Rose Narumi Fine China (Japan).

Although, I haven't used it every Thanksgiving and Christmas, as she did.
I do, occasionally, bring it down from the heirloom buffet(my Grandmother's)
and hutch made by "Mr. Ed" for a 'special occasion'.

The soft pink roses are similar to those used at our Wedding.
So, what better way to celebrate our love (that) was meant to be
than with a Valentine's Day Tablescape?

Silver pieces are another heirloom from my MoMa.

I enjoy silver polishing days On Crooked Creek!
I prefer all my silver, heirloom and purchased, to be brightly polished.

That being said, you'll see a sprinkling of silver pieces

throughout this Valentine's Day Tablescape.

A mix of a vintage Valentine postcard
and with a touch of vintage (Punch Studio) miniature Valentine card
served as place cards within my silver place card holders.

A boxed red heart filled with Chocolate Turtles,
placed to the left of "Mr. Ed's" place setting
and the intricate Hallmark Valentine Card I gave "Mr. Ed"
on the first Valentine's Day after we were married
serve as romantic accessories.

These decadent heart~shaped dessert cups are filled to the brim
with French Vanilla Cheesecake Pudding topped with dark
and white chocolate curls and a dollop of whipped cream
with additional chocolate curls.

The silver hearts with their curled sheer white wired ribbon
are the perfect favor for this romantic Valentine Day Tablescape.

Can't Help Falling in Love. . .
Elvis Presley
Wise men say only fools rush in
But I can't help falling in love with you
Shall I stay?
Would it be a sin
If I can't help falling in love with you?
Like a river flows surely to the sea
Darling so it goes
Some things are meant to be
Take my hand, take my whole life too
For I can't help falling in love with you

Like a river flows surely to the sea
Darling so it goes
Some things are meant to be
Take my hand, take my whole life too
For I can't help falling in love with you
For I can't help falling in love with you

Our love was meant to be!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Until next time. . .

Pat I love your storyline and how you tied in the special elements from your life with it. Those are pretty china dishes and the flowers look perfect with them. How sweet that. You still have the first Valentine’s Day card you gave Ed after you were wed. The desserts look so delicious. I agree your love was meant to be!

Your table is absolutely stunning.
There;s no words that can say how I miss Mr. Sweet..every minute of every day and especially on holidays....I am thankful, tho, that God gave us 57 years together. I am thankful...but it doesn't help the sadness.

I loved seeing the pic of you two young things....xoxoxo
