Lady Liberty. . .

To celebrate one of my "milestone" birthday's,
"Mr. Ed" surprised me with a vintage dress form.

I affectionately named her "Lizzie". . .
                                                                      shortened form of  Elizabeth.

This Fourth of July,
"Mr. Ed" brought "Lizzie" up from Studio One
for me to design as part of our Fourth of July decor On Crooked Creektt.

Once I draped the flag around "Lizzie's" shoulders,
I began to arrange the stripes to fall in gentle pleats.

Next,
I began with positioning the 4" X 4" American Flags.

To hide the mechanics of the dress form,
I added a crocheted vintage collar, heirloom strand of pearls and the Cameo pin.

"Lizzie" graces the upper level Entry Hall
where "Mr. Ed" and I can enjoy her remarkable appearance
from the upper level Living Room.

I adore using "Lizzie" as part of On Crooked Creektt's Fourth of July decor!

As I watch our every changing World News,
my prayer this Fourth of July for our Country, our Land is simple. . .
forever in peace may she wave.

May each and everyone of you experience a
happy Fourth of July!

Until next time. . .

Dear Ones,
In the designing of our Fourth of July decor,
I meant no disrespect to the American Flag!

Our family has always had a Patriotic Spirit.
"Mr. Ed" is a retired U.S. Army Career Solider.

Below is a photo of our family and friends
as we participated in a Memorial Day Parade around the Mound
(The Mound commemorates Soldiers lost on battlefields that never returned home)
at Prescott Cemetery, Prescott, Kansas.

Most of my family members are laid to rest in this Cemetery.

Leading our Memorial Day Parade around the Mound:
My niece, Raquel; Crystal Clayton: our son, Bill;
Christoper Clayton; and yours truly, a much younger, Pat.

Fondly,
Pat

Pat, oh how I love Lizzie! What a sweetheart your hubby is. I think the flag is beautiful wrapped around her. If it's not touching the ground I don't think it's disrespectful at all. Happy 4th to you and your family. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
hugs,
Jann

Miss Lizzie is stunning and so elegant. You know how to arrange the folds beautifully and adding the crocheted vintage collar, pearls and a cameo was ingenious.
