A Joyful Dining Room!

On Crooked Creektt, "Mr. Ed" and I are enjoying
a Joyful Dining Room for Christmas!

Although our Christmas word of choice is  NOEL,
the Dining Room hutch features a gifted Joy plate!

Let's begin at the top of the hutch that "Mr. Ed" built
to harmoniously blend with my heirloom oak buffet.

To accentuate my creamy ivory Anduze Pottery atop the hutch,
I placed a 6 foot long faux pine and eucalyptus garland.

Then,
I added a silver beaded garland of the same length
and finished with some recently acquired vintage gold glass ornaments.

My silver tray chalkboard features the French word
originating from Latin meaning "birthday" ~ Noel.

My heirloom silver Tea Set rest atop a ecru linen table topper
simply folded in half and placed on an angle.

I placed a petite rustic Christmas Tree on the silver tray.

The Joy plate is resting on an easel
and nestled inside a silk holly and ivy berry wreath.

Beneath the N o e l silver tray chalkboard
I've placed two soft hued Christmas Trees in vintage ironstone vases.

A miniature creamy ivory plate featuring an evergreen sprig
and edged in gold rests on an easel.

The rest of my petite creamy ivory plates with evergreen sprigs
and edged in gold are hung from our Dining Room chandelier.

I used the identical 6 foot long faux pine and eucalyptus garland
combined with silver beaded garland atop the arms of my chandelier.

Sheer white tulle ribbon all cut the exact length
was placed over the chandelier arm then tied in a bow above the miniature plates.

I adore how the miniature creamy ivory plate ornaments
compliment the creamy ivory silk shades of the chandelier, especially at night.

My turquoise verdigris wall pockets hold a single cedar bough
with a white and silver ornament and a faux red stripe candy cane.

I kept the Dining Room tablescape light and bright
to compliment On Crooked Creektt's Dining Room.

More of On Crooked Creektt's Dining Room can be seen
in A Cherished Centerpiece  (here).

"Mr. Ed" and I learned earlier this week that our son and daughter~in~law

Your dining room is looking stunning! I don't know where to begin, everything is gorgeous from the décor to the tablescape. The whites are so serene with a winter crispiness. The chandy is lovely too.
Merry Christmas and many blessings to you all.

Dear Pat! You sure haven't lost a single touch with your styling touches - in fact, you just keep getting better - since your career days of merchandising! So many things here attract and delight me - from the garland and how you embellished it, to those tiny plates (are those butter pats? love those sprigs and tulle!), to the soft trees in ironstone, and your table setting with centerpiece. Truly, a very classy look. May I ask where you found that pine & eucalyptus garland? The trims just make it, but it's a great foundation. Just beautiful.

I love the greenery in the McCoy looking white vases! I have a similar glass with the silver edge that was my Grandmothers that I put my silver spoons in too. Great minds think alike? Right! It looks Joyeus for you and Mr Ed. I still did not get my dining room all done. Oh well. Working Christmas Eve and not having my brother over to later on Christmas. Might get something thrown together to make the dining room look festive.

Hello Pat- I love what you've done here. You know I love to decorate the chandelier so this makes me smile to see yours! Beautifully done! I really like the Anduze pottery and how you added the two trees in the little trees on the hutch. One of my favorite centerpieces is like your pedestal bowl! We think the same :-) So glad for you that you'll be joined by your son and daughter in-law. I'm tickled for the same reason at our home this year!
