Curtain Call!!!

The time it took to find new draperies
for our upper level Living Room On Crooked Creektt
took what seemed like f o r e v e r !

After. . .

Honestly,
I began my search right after Christmas 2014,
but didn't find what I was looking for until June 2015.

. . . Before

Arriving On Crooked Creektt,
originally, I had creamy ivory sheers with embroidery and seed pearls.
The Roman Shades in wheat were a perfect match.

I l o v e d those sheer curtains!
I still do!
It just was time for an update.

Time for a Curtain Call!!!

The reason  that choosing curtains was so~o~o complicated
was my list of "must haves":
* Must coordinate with furnishings, carpeting and paint
in both the Living Room and Dining Room.
* Had to have a pocket header and hang in pleats.
The draperies must be lined.
* Must be machine washable.
* Had to stay within my $200.00 budget.

That was no easy feat!

On Crooked Creektt's Living Room has three windows
plus the Dining Room's patio door.

So~o~o. . .
from January ~ to ~June,
On Crooked Creektt's Living and Dining Rooms had no window coverings.

January . . .

I was thrilled to find lined drapes on $ale
that "Mr. Ed" and I could cover the three Living Room windows
plus the Dining Room patio doors for $30.00 under budget !

. . . June

I adore the subtle pattern within the drapes!
The lighter hue is a perfect match to the Roman Shades wheat color!

After. . .

. . . Before

The color and pattern blends harmoniously
with the rug and the furnishings within On Crooked Creektt's Dining Room.

After. . .

. . . Before

While adding the Timeless Classic elegance
I was seeking for On Crooked Creektt's Living Room.

After

This Curtain Call was well worth the wait!

Until next time. . .

Nice choice, Pat - not that you were picky or anything, right?! Well worth the wait. If I were you, though, I'd hold onto those lighter sheers and not reinvent them into something else, but rather hold onto them for an alternative option again since these took so long to find. What's worth having is definitely worth waiting for instead of compromising. Both are beautifully coordinated options for you.

Beautiful! It IS so hard to find curtains that are well-made and not terribly expensive. I'm so glad you found what you wanted! They look perfect!

oooooh I like! Miss the days of opening the JC Penney catalogue and finding what you want. I probably need new curtains, but like you said it is not easy. Also love all your wall pockets you have up!

Wow, love the new drapes! I know exactly what you mean about having a hard time finding new ones...

I have been on the hunt for our LR for months, and still cant find 8 window panels that will work that arent 80 dollars each.

I am so glad you found yours, it really gives a nice cozy feel to the space!

I love the new curtains, these were a perfect choice. I always have a difficult time deciding upon window treatments, so I certainly understand having it taking so long to find the perfect drapery. Thank you so much for sharing over at Celebrate it Sunday.
