Interlude In Green. . .

Over the past two years, On Crooked Creektt. . .
I've been editing my (junk) many collections to a mere few.

There was a period in my recent past
where if I saw something I liked, I bought it. . .
with the theory of "If you love something, you'll find a place for it".

And find places, I did. . .

until every closet, cupboard, drawer, shelf

and stowaway place was filled to overflowing!

Once, I totally committed to my Traditional Style of home decor,
the editing process has been fairly easy.

Bordallo Pinheiro has to be one of my favorite collections!
I feel fortunate that with each and every year and Season,
I am still able to find pieces to enhance my collection.

This grapevine leaf tray is the newest addition to my collection.

While I had hoped that it would fit within the shelves of the built~in
Dining Room china cabinet On Crooked Creektt, that was not the case.

So~o~o. . .
since I already had the shelves emptied,
I brought up the entire collection for our viewing pleasure.

Not only do I have a great beginning of Bordallo Pinheiro
cabbage dessert / salad plates and bowls, I've also, added other patterns.

Blending my Majolica pieces amidst the collection
breaks up the monotony of a single hue of green
while enhancing the overall  visual appeal.

In the beginning,
I was smitten with the cabbage leaf design edged with brown.

Lately,
I find myself seeking out the more uniquely designed grapevine leaf pieces.

Harmoniously blending Bordallo Pinheiro with Majolica pieces
and distributing a few "green" faux asparagus and cabbages
brings about an interlude in green On Crooked Creektt.

On Crooked Creektt
inspiration in the form of a Bordallo Pinheiro grapevine leaf tray
provides a touch of Springs awakening to our Dining Room.

Until next time. . .

On Crooked Creektt will be joining

I only discovered the Bordallo Pinheiro dishes as a result of blogging. I've picked up a few pieces along the way. You've got a great collection- I adore that white pitcher with the bees too.

Oh Pat, I am in love with ALL of the pieces!!! I don't have ANY, and have always so admired it but never spent the $$$ to start a collection. You have displayed both so beautifully. I love the different patterns and colors too. You will enjoy this display for many months now. Beautiful!!!

Pat, you have a nicely displayed collection of BP...I have that same gorgeous platter. I found mine at the thrift store for a few dollars...didn't need it, but didn't want to leave it, either! Mine hangs in the entryway with other large platters.

Hi Pat! Oh, what a gorgeous collection you have and I love how you've displayed them too. You know I love that lovely wallpaper too! I have some of the Bordallo Pinheiro dishes but not as pretty a pattern as you have - that tray! I'm drooling! Thank you so much for popping in to see my little family.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia :)
