Christmas and the holidays were the time to
dress our dining room table in china, crystal and sparkling silver!
But these days, filled to the brim with all the hustle and bustle,
has me saying, "Paper. . .please!"
While winding up our last minute gift list,
"Mr. Ed" and I stopped in T. J. Maxx
where I found these adorable paper dessert plates and cocktail napkins!!!
They are the perfect compliment to my subtle color palette
for Christmas On Crooked Creektt!
I adore how they pair with my everyday porcelain white dinnerware,
Oneida everyday stainless flatware and our clear bubble glass stemware. . .
all dishwasher safe!
I created a simplistic centerpiece,
by removing the silver compote and tray.
In its place I'm using my ivory oval serving bowl
filled with faux juniper berries sprigs and silver holly leaves.
I arranged the champagne hued satiny ornaments atop the faux greenery.
Earlier this Spring,
the blogger who hates to sew,
made these napkins from some left~over fabric in Studio One.
This allowed me to use the matching cocktail napkins for coasters.
Layering the tablecloths
gives us the Traditional styling that I adore in my home decor.
I'm thrilled with the cohesiveness of the entire dining room,
combined with the ease of our dining experience,
clean~up for Christmas On Crooked Creektt is kept to a minimum.
This year, to better enjoy your Christmas celebration
simply say, "Paper. . . please!"
Until next time. . .

And why not? It looks fantastic! Your centerpiece is absolutely gorgeous. I love all the elements together. So elegant looking. Merry Christmas, my friend!
I love beautiful and fun paper plates and with our large family...always at least 16 and most of the time around 20, we use paper every time....it just makes sense to spend our time together, having fun, instead of loading the dishwasher...
Blessed Christmas...xoxo
Hi Pat! Oh, how pretty these paper plates are. You could have fooled me! They do look beautiful on your table. Your placemats are gorgeous - love those ruffles and your centerpiece is gorgeous! You did good! I want to wish you and yours a very merry Christmas. I baked some cookies! ;)
Be a sweetie, sweet friend,
Shelia ;)
Hi Pat,
Your table look so pretty and I love the soft colors. This Christmas Eve, when my whole family is over, I'm using pretty paper products, too. I don't want to spend all night cleaning dishes. It's throw-out for me this year. Merry Christmas!
Beautiful color scheme...love that centerpiece.
Hi Pat!! Love your plates and napkins they look so festive on your table! I picked up some great wrapping paper at TJ's this year! Oh, and I spied your new greens, love them, just like mine!!
Hi Pat, thanks so much for your sweet comment on my blog LITTLE BRAGS...I tried to reply to you but you are a non reply blogger, so I am leaving my THANK YOU here on your beautiful blog. Thanks Christine from http://littlebrags.blogspot.com
Oh boy, when there's too many people, paper plates are not only gorgeous, but so disposable, too! Your table is lovely sweet lady, and I was almost fooled, lol! Everything is lovely and I wish you and yours a wonderful C'mas, with many blessings.
FABBY
SO pretty! I think we tend to overlook the utility of paper products. With so many of them lookin' so sharp these days, they really need to be considered as an option more often! You really got a terrific design! Very sophisticated!!! Your centerpiece is gorgeous and works perfectly with the place settings. Pretty table for 2! Oh...and your linens look lovely, too!
