since I've done any Fourth of July decorating!
So~o~o. . .
this year, On Crooked Creektt, I'm having a fanfare affair!
Most all of my Fourth of July decorations
had been edited to a mere trickle, so that I had to do some holiday shopping.
I wasn't $old on anything. . .
until "Mr. Ed" and I stopped into our local Dollar Tree $tore.
I spotted the red, blue, and silver pinwheels
and was immediately transmitted back in time!
Of course,
I had to blow on one in the store!
It was when I was checking to see if anyone had noticed,
that I spied the paper fan wheels out of the corner of my eye!
Once I arrived home,
I placed a vintage white cotton cloth with red stripes on the diagonal
atop my oval shaped oak dining table.
Next,
I placed "Mr. Ed's" handmade gray wooden box atop the cloth.
I placed the 14 inch paper fan wheel at the back of the wooden box.
I adore the red and blue stars on the white background!
Then,
I placed the 10 inch red and white stripe paper fan in front.
To soften the hard surface,
I placed a vintage "Huck" towel with red embroidery in the bottom of the box.
I placed two vintage creamy ivory plates in the front half of the wooden box.
The larger of the two is a Homer Laughlin,
while the smaller plate is Johnson Brothers England.
The small 4" X 4" American Flag with its stars and stripes
looks majestic against the red and blue stars of the paper fan!
I used faux red hydrangea to fill in the void areas.
I placed another 10 inch red and white stripe paper fan
on the side of the buffet to form a coordinating vignette.
Fourth of July decorating On Crooked Creektt. . .
it's a fanfare affair!
Until next time. . .
