Fairy Garden Walk About. . .

I stand all in awe and amazement at the onset of Spring 2016!

Usually, in April, here On Crooked Creektt,
we are just beginning to see a blossom on the Ornamental Bradley Pear,
Ornamental Cherry, Ornamental Plum and Red Bud Trees.

Our temperatures have been all over the mercury
and still are not our normal temperatures for Spring.

I was able to cut back our Ornamental Grasses in
On Crooked Creektt's Fairy Garden in March, instead of May, this year!

And what to my wondering eyes should appear?

But new growth of purple salvia in the Fairy Garden, no less!

Followed by wintered over Dusty Miller!

that was planted in Spring 2015!

Sedum that is nearly as tall as the irises!

On Crooked Creektt's Fairy Garden Spring Cleaning
has been completed for 2016.

Even through On Crooked Creektt's Easter Snow,

and the unstable temperatures, the Fairy Garden is somewhat protected
by the Ornamental Cherry and Ornamental Plum Trees.

I'm excited to be visiting our local Garden Center soon
for some Fairy Garden Annuals
that my personal Master Gardener, "Mr. Ed" will gladly plant.

A Fairy Garden walk about On Crooked Creektt,
in early Spring, refreshes my soul and renews my spirit!

I just love the beauty of spring. We had a work girls day out yesterday and I picked up my friend who lives in a beautiful town full of old homes. It was cold but the sun was shining and the grass, trees and flowers were just gorgeous.

It's so nice that you are able to get outside & get things ready for Spring! Your blooms are coming along beautifully. We're not there yet, but I'm hoping soon!

Being in the garden refreshes my soul as well sweet friend. What a nice surprise to see all of that life popping up. My garden is really starting to put forth color with all of my early trailing plants on the rock wall. Love it! Thanks for sharing with SYC.

Well Pat- spring has sprung there for sure! Love to see all the new plant growth and flowering trees/shrubs. As you know our weather is crazy where I live. A week ago we had a lot of snow and the past few days have been in the 70s and it looks like spring has finally begun here. I enjoyed walking around your yard and gardens!

In what state is Crooked Creektt, Pat? Here in Texas we had such a mild winter that like you, many things are way ahead of normal. I know this because I've looked back at my blog pictures from last year.

I stand in awe too. It's the best time of year!

So many people around the country have talked about crazy weather. I remember one blogger last year who got all of her flowers planted in May and then had to run out to dig everything up due to a crazy snow storm.

You fairy garden is sweet and I appreciate the inspiration - I saw the Dusty Miller and remembered that I wanted to plant some.

Enjoy these spring days in the garden.

Pat, it is such a wonderful feeling to get the spring cleaning all completed, isn't it? So fun to watch those plants pop up. Blossoming trees are one of my favorite things of spring. My pear just finished blooming, bud I still have buds on my twisted redbud. One of my favorites as well. I love how the garden is continually changing! Thanks so much for sharing with us for the garden party sweet friend!
