Star Of Bethlehem . . .

Star of Bethlehem. . .
the name of the flora that fills my mercury silver vase.

The items that adorn On Crooked Creektt's Entry Hall
are fairly new to our design accessories.

However,
my Santos Angel has been in the same place since her arrival.

I adore that she greets our family and guests as they arrived
and keeps watch over our coming in~and going out!

I kept the Entry Hall in muted shades of soft gray, green and white
to accent the new hue of Sherwin~Williams Sandbar paint.

A single strand of rustic wire and white glittering stars
surround the heirloom print above the Entry Hall console table.

After placing a silver and gold embroidered table runner atop the console table,
I embellished my grey washed wrought iron candlesticks with beaded white rings.

* * * Tip * * *
After I removed the timer faux wax candles,
I place two beaded white candle rings atop the candlestick.

Then,
I simply arranged the pillar candle atop the beaded candle ring.

I adore the festive vibe it gives to the candlesticks!

Continuing the festive theme in the Entry Hall,
I tied chartreuse hued French Silk ribbon to three silver and white miniature glass ornaments and placed them within the base of my Santos.

My favorite word for Christmas is Noel!

So~o~o. . .
imagine my joy when I found this Noel ornament at our new Hobby Lobby!

I knew I just had to work this new treasure into my floral arrangement.

* * * Tip * * *
I began by bending a gnarly grey twig garland
around the upper left~hand side of my French mirror.

Next,
I attached the silver and gold bird's nest to the twig garland
and tied the ornament with a gray hued French Silk ribbon in the garland, as well.

Then,
I embellished the gnarly garland with some silk and velvet glitter leaves,
a sprig of silver leaves and attached a silver bird atop the nest.

In keeping a monochromatic color scheme within the Entry Hall,
I added vintage Cantique de Noel sheet music
to a recently purchased piano sheet music stand.

This distressed piano sheet music holder,
is the 'perfect' fit for behind our front door.

The Star of Bethlehem flora,
truly an inspiration for On Crooked Creektt's Entry Hall Christmas decor.

Pat, there is a certain calm I get every time I visit your blog, and I just love the feeling. Your subdued color scheme in the entry, your candles & Santos with simple bulbs, the Noel - they all make such a beautiful composition. Happy December, my friend.

Pat, it is all just beautiful! I adore your angel and the arrangement you made on the mirror is gorgeous. I have a glittery Noel hanging on a chippy door in my living room. It truly is a wonderful word. I love the Star of Bethlehem flower. I had some growing at my previous home at one time. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
hugs,
